However, it also mirrors societal challenges, including the pervasive issue of sexual violence. Despite legislative efforts and ethical codes implemented by sporting organizations and governments in the past two decades, sexual violence remains prevalent in sports, marked by intimidation, reprisals, and indignity.

This article explores recent cases through a Feminist Perspective, revealing how the sexual violence experienced by women and girls in sports exposes a broader system of entrenched patriarchy, marked by a culture of silence, indifference, and abuse of authority.
