Oregon’s streak of consecutive weeks at No. 1 reached four Sunday morning.
The Ducks held on to the top spot in both the US LBM Coaches Poll and The Associated Press media poll.
Not that it was unexpected.
Oregon improved to 10-0 overall and 7-0 in the Big Ten with a 39-18 win against Maryland on Saturday.
The victory came at Autzen Stadium in front of a home crowd that has come to expect dominance.
With this latest win, the Ducks continued to demonstrate why they are considered the top team in the nation.
Oregon earned 1,375 points in the coaches poll.
It also received all 55 first-place votes available in that poll.
In the AP poll, the Ducks were equally dominant.
They received 1,550 points from the panel of media members.
Oregon also captured all 62 first-place votes in the AP poll.
Such a unanimous showing across both polls is a testament to the team’s consistency.
The Ducks have not only won, but done so convincingly week after week.
Their position at No. 1 seems secure for now — with the playoffs in sight and momentum on their side.
