NCAA baseball tournament field revealed: Vanderbilt earns No. 1 seed; SEC….

Vanderbilt earned the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA baseball tournament for the second time in program history. The Commodores, who are in the field for the 19th consecutive season, were one of 13 teams from the SEC to make the 64-team field, the most ever from a single conference.

Texas, which won the SEC regular-season championship in its first season in the league, earned the No. 2 seed. The Longhorns are making a record 64th appearance in the NCAA Tournamen

The remaining eight national seeds are Arkansas, Auburn, North Carolina, LSU, Georgia and Oregon State.

The other eight Regional hosts are Florida State, Ole Miss, Clemson, Oregon, Coastal Carolina, Tennessee, UCLA and Southern Miss.

The 16 Regionals will feature four-team, double-elimination competitions, which will be played this weekend. The Regional winners advance to the Super Regionals for a best two out of three series to be played June 6-9. The eight Super Regional winners advance to the College World Series in Omaha, Neb., beginning June 13. The CWS championship series begins June 21
