Today is more than just a birthday, Coach Frost. It’s a celebration of your return, your strength, your fire, and the way you have always stood by us. Your players — past, present, and even future — want you to know how much we care about you. You were more than just our coach before, and you still are. You are a guide, a protector, and a leader. This day reminds us of who you are to us, and we want to speak straight from the heart.
When we heard the news that you were coming back, the room filled with cheers. The energy changed. We saw players high-fiving, hugging, and smiling. Some even cried. Not because of just a win or a game, but because someone we trust was walking through those doors again. You bring something real to this team. It’s not about big speeches or fancy plans. It’s the way you look us in the eye and tell us we can do more. It’s the way you walk onto the field like you belong here, like this is home — because it is.
Coach, you have always had our backs. You stood with us on the field, in the locker room, during long nights and early mornings. When we were tired, you were there. When we messed up, you didn’t turn your back. You told us the truth, and then helped us get better. When we won, you cheered louder than anyone. When we lost, you kept us together.
You helped turn UCF into a place where players grow strong — not just in muscle, but in mind. You helped us believe that we could stand tall against anyone. You never said it would be easy, but you showed us that it would be worth it. That’s why we run hard, lift more, and never quit. We do it because of you. We’ve seen you give everything you’ve got, and we want to match that every single day.
Your love for this program shows in every move you make. You didn’t come back just to coach. You came back to finish what you started. You didn’t make promises you couldn’t keep. You came back to fight with us, side by side, until we bring back the roar in the Bounce House, until fans jump so hard the ground shakes, until no one can deny the strength of UCF.
Terry Mohajir said it best when he said that your fire stood out during the search for a new leader. But we, your players, always knew that fire was there. We didn’t need a search to tell us that. You’re more than a good choice — you are the right one. You built a name here before, not just with wins, but with real work. Now we get to build more — together.
You didn’t come back to watch. You came back to act. And we’re ready to run beside you.
You talk straight. You don’t need to sugarcoat things. You tell us what needs to be done, and then you show us how to do it. When we’re lazy, you call it out. When we push ourselves, you let us know you see it. That honesty means more than you know. We’ve been coached by others, but very few take the time to really know us. You always did. And we believe you still will.
So today, we don’t just say “happy birthday.” We say thank you. Thank you for coming back. Thank you for not giving up on this team, on this school, and on us. We know it’s not easy. This job comes with pressure. People talk. People judge. But we want you to know: we’re with you. We don’t care what the outside world says. We’re focused on what we do together, here, in this house.
You’ve always treated us like men — not just players, not just numbers, not just tools for stats or headlines. You know our names. You ask about our families. You show up when no one else does. You pull us aside when we look off, and ask if we’re okay. That kind of care can’t be taught. It’s who you are.
Coach, your return means more than we can say. It’s about more than football. It’s about coming home. And your home is here — with us, in the black and gold.
You’ve walked these halls before. You’ve stood under these lights. You’ve coached games that people will talk about for years. And now, you’re back to write the next chapter. We are ready. We are proud. We are focused.
