Davenport University unveiled its 2024 signing class, which includes 48 athletes, notably featuring former Power-Five players D’Wan Mathis and Justin White. Mathis, a former Georgia quarterback, and White, a former Michigan State cornerback, bring experience and talent to the Panthers’ roster. Additionally, the signing class comprises 16 mid-year collegiate transfers and 32 high school seniors. Mathis, despite a journey that included stints at Temple and a position change to wide receiver, is set to return to his natural position of quarterback at Davenport. Meanwhile, White, after transferring from Colorado Mesa to Michigan State, will bring his defensive prowess to the Panthers for his final year of eligibility. Among the high school signees, linebacker Daivon Hill stands out as a highly regarded prospect.
