The rookie first-round pick has been ruled out for Tuesday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets as he’ll remain with the Raptors 905. He’s expected to play in Monday’s game for the 905 and potentially stick around through Friday’s game in Mississauga as well. There’s been no official timeline on when he will return to Toronto with the big club
As for the Nets, their injury report is quite a bit longer.
Ben Simmons remains out with a lower back nerve impingement.
Cam Thomas is doubtful to play with a left ankle sprain.
Both Nic Claxton and Dennis Smith Jr. are questionable. Claxton has a left ankle sprain while Smith has a lower back sprain.
Cameron Johnson is considered probable with right leg cramping.
With Simmons, Claxton, Thomas, and Smith all sidelined on Sunday, the Nets opted to play small-ball, starting Dorian Finney-Smith, Royce O’Neal, Mikal Bridges, and Spencer Dinwiddie alongside Johnston.
