former Miami Dolphins running back was arrested last week after a confrontation that left a pregnant woman bruised and battered, criminal records show.

The incident began with an argument between Damien Williams and the victim over their dog’s food and became more heated, the complaint stated. At one point, Williams allegedly grabbed the victim by her neck and the fight turned physical.

A Coconut Creek Police Department officer reported finding scratch marks and bruises on her arms as well as redness on her neck after he responded to the home around 11 a.m. on Monday, January 22.

Williams, 31, was booked into the Broward County jail last Monday on a single count of aggravated battery of a victim the suspect knew or should have known was pregnant. The court documents did not identify the victim, only indicating she was 10 weeks pregnant with a child she shared with him.
