BREAKING: Sam Pittman Resigns after Shock loss to Crimson Tide
The No. 15 Alabama softball team (32-11, 11-7 SEC) suffered an 8-0 defeat in just five innings during the series finale against No. 14 Arkansas (32-11, 11-7 SEC) on Sunday.
The game’s momentum shifted early in the first inning when the Razorbacks scored seven runs, setting a dominating tone for the remainder of the match at Bogle Park. Bri Ellis kickstarted Arkansas’s offense with a two-run homer to left field off Crimson Tide starter Kayla Beaver, quickly giving the Razorbacks a 2-0 lead. Arkansas continued to build momentum by consistently loading the bases and capitalizing on offensive opportunities. Kennedy Miller’s hit advanced Hannah Gammill to third base following Ellis’s fielder’s choice, followed by Rylin Hedgecock’s single to right field on the subsequent pitch.
