In a recent interview with NHL.com’s Wes Crosby, Dubas outlined his ambitious objectives for the Penguins, emphasizing a desire to restore the team to its former glory and make a championship run while Sidney Crosby, the team’s star captain, is still at the top of his game.

Dubas, who assumed the role of GM this offseason after a mixed tenure with the Toronto Maple Leafs and a subsequent role as team president in Pittsburgh, has made it clear that the team’s aspirations go beyond the incremental improvements seen in recent years. Central to Dubas’s strategy is the continued success and utilization of the Penguins’ veteran core, especially Sidney Crosby.
