Former Arizona State quarterback Jaden Rashada has made the decision to transfer to Georgia. He revealed his transfer plans on Thursday via Instagram, sharing a photo of himself in a Georgia uniform along with the message, “Compete with the BEST.” Hailing from Pittsburg, Calif., Rashada will have four years of eligibility remaining. According to 247Sports, he was ranked as the No. 6 quarterback in the 2023 class.
Initially, Rashada intended to enroll at Florida in 2023. However, complications arose when his anticipated $13 million name, image, and likeness (NIL) deal with the school’s collective fell through. Consequently, he found himself at Arizona State. His father, Harlen, had previously played for the Sun Devils from 1992 to 1994. Last week, the younger Rashada announced his intentions to transfer.
During his freshman year, Rashada saw action in three games, amassing 485 passing yards, four touchdowns, and three interceptions. He was unable to participate in Arizona State’s spring practice due to thumb surgery. Now, Rashada will join the quarterback roster at Georgia, which includes Carson Beck, the incumbent starter who led the Bulldogs to a 13-1 record in 2023, and Gunner Stockton, ranked as the No. 7 QB in the 2022 class.
